funding, granted.

You do the work. We help you fund it, run it and prove it.

Grant support is scattered across a dozen tabs, you've no time to chase it, and the compliance never stops. The Funding Village bundles live grant intelligence, hands-on application help, a compliance library and training — at one flat published price.

The problem

Small organisations do the most with the least — and the support isn't built for you.

You're not a niche. You're the majority of the sector, carrying a big-charity compliance load on a fraction of the resource, right as the money moves toward grants.

No time to chase grants alone

Deadlines, eligibility rules and funder quirks live across a dozen scattered sources. Finding the three grants actually worth your week is a job in itself — before a word of the bid is written.

Compliance doesn't scale down

You face much the same policy, safeguarding and reporting burden as a national charity, with none of the back office. Around 62,000 CICs have registered since 2005 — roughly 41,000 active — and they cluster in the most deprived areas, exactly where resource is thinnest.

Re-explaining yourself to a new adviser, every time

Consultancy day rates are out of reach, and the free tools are generic with no human review. Nothing priced sits in the middle — a service that already knows your organisation.

The money is shifting to grants

Public giving has fallen from 82% to 67% of people since 2013/14, pushing small organisations toward grant funding just as it got harder to win.

171,000

registered charities in England & Wales — plus around 25,000 in Scotland and 8,000 in Northern Ireland.

75%

of the sector runs on an income under £100,000 a year. That's your peer group.

31%

get by on under £5,000 a year — the organisations the Community tier is built for.

£102bn

total UK charity income in 2024/25 — and more of it is grant-driven than ever.

On Navca's wider count, England's voluntary, community and social-enterprise sector reaches around 495,000 organisations once grassroots groups are included.

What membership gets you

Everything you'd otherwise assemble from a dozen places — in one membership.

These are the locked member benefits. What deepens as you move up the tiers is the amount of hands-on, done-for-you support — never the list itself.

Live grant intelligence & matching

The three to five grants actually worth your time this week, matched to what you do — with a plain note on why you'd win.

Hands-on application support

Tiered help, from expert review that keeps you as the author through to fully managed, done-for-you bids (see the tiers below).

A compliance & policy library

Ready-to-use policies, safeguarding and governance templates, refreshed monthly — authored from real practice, not scraped.

Training with CPD-style certificates

Short, practical courses with completion certificates your team and your funders can see.

Crowdfunding guidance & campaign support

Templates, draft reviews and, higher up, a done-with-you campaign plus match-funding introductions.

Corporate-sponsorship matching

A sponsorship pitch pack and a shortlist of local corporates and CSR funds — with warm introductions at the top tier.

Discounts with partner suppliers

Member rates on the things every organisation pays for — insurance, DBS, accounting. Platinum also gets a vetted staffing-agency discount.

An org-to-org partner directory

Find and team up with other member organisations for joint bids and shared learning — see the section below.

"Seen first" on Village Local

Priority placement on our free public community directory, putting your activities in front of local people first.

An advice line / help desk

A real person to ask, with response times that get faster as you move up — from a 48-hour help desk to same-day priority.

A named feature — not a footnote

Partner with other organisations

Members can find and team up with other member organisations — for joint bids, shared learning and plain mutual support. You stop competing for the same pot alone and start building consortia that funders take seriously.

  • 🤝  Search the partner directory by what you're looking for, what you can offer, and region.
  • 🧩  Team up on larger, consortium-scale bids that a single small group can't reach.
  • 📣  Share templates, lessons and warm introductions with organisations who get it.
Membership tiers

One flat published price per tier. It never moves.

The fee is a membership subscription paid win or lose — we take 0% of any grant you secure. Higher tiers mean more concurrent hands-on support, not a bigger cut.

How it works

From "where do we even start" to a plan in three steps.

Tell us about your organisation

Free, about five minutes. A few sharp questions about what you do, your size, and where you're stuck.

Get your tailored plan

A first-pass plan matched to a recommended tier — with no obligation to join. The plan is yours to keep either way.

Join and start applying

Join at the tier that fits and start straight away — or don't. There's no pressure, and no cut ever taken from what you raise.

A flat membership fee — not a percentage of your grant. You keep 100% of every pound you raise.

Some funders, including National Lottery Awards for All, don't allow consultant-written bids. That's why Silver keeps you as the named author, and Gold and Platinum only draft directly where the funder's own rules permit — support that's always clean for the funder.

Who's behind this. The Funding Village is a trading brand of Akwaaba Village Entertainment Ltd — built by people rooted in community and youth work, not a software firm or a by-the-hour consultancy.
FAQ

The questions everyone asks first.

Do you take a cut of my grant?
No — a flat membership fee only, win or lose. We take 0% of any grant you secure. The price is the price whether an application succeeds or not.
Can I still apply to funders like Awards for All myself?
Yes. Silver keeps you as the named author, since some funders ban consultant-written bids. Gold and Platinum assist directly wherever the funder's own rules allow it — and coach you as the author where they don't.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no lock-in — cancel whenever you need to.
Is Community really free forever?
Yes. Community is genuinely free, with no card required — grant-finder access, sample policies, the newsletter and a listing on Village Local.
